Welcome to Alexandra House.

Alexandra House is a well established guest house less than 10 minutes from the city centre with its numerous cafes, restaurants bars and shops. The city is steeped in history and has the well known Marlowe theatre and University all a short distance from the guest house. We are located in a quiet road away from the noise of the city with a private car park but still close enough to walk, therefore avoiding expensive parking charges. Canterbury West train station is less than 5 minutes on foot and a regular bus service is available close by.
There is a pleasant garden at the back of the house for guests to use in the milder months. Rooms are comfortable, modern and very clean with all the facilities to expect from a four star rated establishment.

Canterbury is well known for its Cathedral but it also boasts an abundance of shops, some of the more well known are in the Whitefriars shopping centre and many independent, unique and quirky shops are everywhere on the high street. A real cafe culture exists with unusual little pavement cafes and the more well known chains.
The river tours and city walking tours offer the chance to see the quaint charm of this wonderful historic city or visit the Canterbury Tales and re-live the journey of Chaucer's famous pilgrims.
